‘Oh what a night….’

8 Feb

Despite the recent arrival of snow in Horsham at the weekend, 20 of us gathered in the warmth of the Park Barn for Make’s launch creative craft evening. Becky of Button Becky battled morning sickness to give a sterling job of showing everyone how to make one of her brooches and hair clips using vintage fabric and buttons. (Don’t forget to visit her at Horsam Market in the Carfax every Saturday)

Everyone left with a creative glow of satisfaction after having made several items. Well done to everyone who managed to hold out for cake until they had mastered the technique. In hindsight it probably wasn’t a good idea to bake a lemon drizzle cake without a trial run first!

A true community feeling was fostered with some staying behind to help tidy away, thank you ladies. Looking forward to the next workshop ‘Crochet for beginners’ with Michelle from Owl & Slipper on 5th March – more details to come soon.
