Today I dropped off all the jewellery we made at the last Craft Café to Cancer Research in East Street, Horsham.
After the inspirational Upcycling Jewellery workshop in April with Emily Rose six of us practised some of the techniques she showed us. We used old crochet doilies and large kilt pins to make brooches and twisted wire and beads together to make unusual earings. We also managed to mend some broken jewellery which had been donated to our Make project by Horsham Matters so 4 bracelets and 9 necklaces also made their way to Cancer Research. It was a ‘win-win’ situation with us having had a fun evening getting to know new people and learning different jewellery techniques and with the jewellery being donated to charity, hopefully raising money for Cancer Research.
Pop down to Cancer Research in East Street to take a look. We are planning to make this a regular feature at our Craft Café evenings so if you’d like to join us send us an email on email@example.com and we look forward to seeing you on 28th May!
