Workshop 2 – Homemade Christmas

16 Oct

£15             with Peek-a-boo cakes

7.30-9.30pm at The Park Barn Horsham

Cake Pops are apparently the new cupcake and cake truffles are Cake Pops but without the stick! Cake pops have taken the cake world by storm and after this workshop you’ll be hooked.

During this 2hr workshop we will learn the techniques to make Christmas themed cake truffles and make 6 to take home. We will be doing a Snowman, Bauble, Christmas pudding, a Robin, Snowflake and a Christmas hat. Jo Stevens from Peek-a-boo Cakes will explain and demonstrate how to then turn these into cake pops as the workshop progresses. Unfortunately due to chilling times we are unable to make these into actual cake pops on the evening as it is only a 2hour taster workshop.

Suitable for all Abilities

Materials included in the cost of the workshop: Sponge and buttercream for at least 6 balls, cake cases, dipping chocolates, various colours of decorating paste to create designs and a little bit of edible glitter.

You will need to bring: an Apron, 2 plastic mixing bowls, a wooden spoon, a couple of forks for dipping and a container to take the finished items home.

Peek-a-boo Cakes will also have a stall on the evening where you will be able to buy cake pop sticks and extra supplies at a discounted price.

Email us at to book a space on the workshop.

(My humble attempts at cake pops for my daughters’ birthday party this summer)
