with Michelle Cresswell from Owl & Slipper

7.00-9.30pm (2 ½ hrs) at Brighton Road Baptist Church, Horsham

Looking for the perfect shade for your side lamp or your ceiling?

If you find shop-brought lampshades a little bland and uninspiring, then why not consider making your own?

Come and learn how to create your own bespoke shade in this workshop with Michelle Cresswell from Owl and Slipper (website and facebook). Bring fabric of your choice and she will show you how to transform it into a professionally finished rolled edge drum lampshade in just 2 ½ hours. Choose between a 20cm or 30cm diameter drum shade for either £18 or £21 to be used as a table lamp or ceiling pendant. The workshop price includes all materials, in a kit, except for the outer fabric and of course tea and cake. You will want to re-shade all your lamps after this workshop!

You can also order extra kits from us (20cm drum shade kit £9, 30cm drum shade kit £12) for you to take away to complete.

This is a workshop that is ideal for beginners and is perfect for ‘upcycling’ some vintage/ retro fabric or even an old scarf like Kathy did at the last workshop. Michelle ran this workshop for us last September which was very successful, you can see the review of that workshop here.

Suitable for: All abilities
