BLOCK PRINTING CHRISTMAS CARDS WORKSHOP
with Annalees Lim from Makers and Creators
7.00 pm – 9.30pm (2 ½ hrs) at Brighton Road Baptist Church, Horsham
Why not show off your creative flair and make Christmas cards this year and save money too?
Personalise the Christmas with your own range of Christmas Cards, Gift Tags and Wrapping paper. With Annalees Lim from Makers & Creators learn how to transfer your own design onto wood blocks to create a series of prints on plain cards and gift tags using a simple way to block print (a relief method instead of carving). Bring some ideas with you or we have some inspiration here to help you with developing your design. We will then learn how to use the same techniques to print on wrapping paper using a rolling pin! You’ll then be able to re-use your design to create multiple prints at home.
Materials included in the cost of the workshop:
– Everthing to make the wooden block design
– 6 white cards and envelopes,
– 6 assorted plain white card gift tags
– 3 metres of brown paper to print on as wrapping paper
– Step-by-step instructions on a worksheet.
